When we moved, last Summer, Carys had also transitioned into a big girl bed. All was well, until we were 3 weeks into the new house, and then she started coming into our room. She didn't want to come into our bed, she wouldn't even wake us up. Instead, she'd curl up on the floor beside her papa's side of the bed. Night after night, this ritual continued. It was to no avail to bring her back into her bed: she wanted to be in our room, with us and on the floor, no less. We figured if she was going to be on the floor for a good part of the night, we may as well make it comfy for her. We bought a foam mattress and covered it with a quilt and she has a pillow and a blanket. Every, single, night, she comes in without making a sound and curls up on the floor. The times vary: anywhere from midnight to 5 a.m.. I actually don't mind this at all. I quite enjoy having her in our room with us because I know it won't last forever.
