Extra! Extra!

... read all about it:

On Friday, August 20th 2010, sweet little Paisley, age 9.5 months, FINALLY- yes, FINALLY slept through the night for the first time ever. She made no sound, no fuss, no crying out- nothing! Her parents were mighty impressed and shocked. In fact, they were so shocked that they couldn't sleep themselves because they wondered why their little babe wasn't waking up every 1/2 hour. When she finally awoke for the first time at 5:30 a.m, her parents triple checked the time on the clock and thought, surely, it must have been a mistake. They kept their hopes pretty grounded for another night of peaceful sleeping- and, alas, Paisley was back to her old tricks and woke up at least 25 times the following night and the one after.

Moral of the story: you win some and you lose some. In this case, you lose a lot more than you win because for every good night of sleep, countless sleepless nights follow- but, I guess, such is life.
